#27: Finding Focus, with Jim Coyle

Barry Barrett

In this episode, host Barry Barrett interviews Jim Coyle, a seasoned entrepreneur with a diverse background in various industries. Jim shares his early experiences as a young entrepreneur, starting with his jewelry design and sales company in high school, where he made thousands of dollars selling jewelry out of his locker. Even during college, Jim continued his entrepreneurial endeavors by continuing his jewelry sales, and running a paint contracting company.

After college, Jim felt the need to explore the corporate world and took up a consulting role in a computer consulting company. Jim found the experience to be soul-sucking and began searching for his next venture. This led him to open a bar and restaurant in Chicago.

Eventually, Jim found his true passion in helping businesses thrive and founded Nexus Business Solutions, which serves as the foundation for his current success. He became an EOS Implementer (EOSI), and now has Expert status as an EOSI.  Through his entrepreneurial journey, Jim realized the importance of focusing on what truly matters and recognizing when to remove certain responsibilities from his plate to better serve his passions and the people around him.

Tune in to this insightful episode as Jim Coyle reflects on his entrepreneurial experiences, shares lessons learned, and provides valuable advice for fellow entrepreneurs seeking to prioritize their passions and streamline their commitments.
